In this study of the Gospel According to Matthew, we’ll be looking at the “End of the Age” according to Jesus in Matthew 24. The Last Days—stars falling from heaven, the sun and the moon going dark, the abomination of desolation, judgment, Left Behind, and the great tribulation—all of these spark fear and a strange fascination among Christians and non-Christians alike. But what was the “End of the Age” according to Jesus? When reading Matthew 24 the way that Jesus spoke it, it’s very apparent that this is not something in our future but rather happened in the past.
